Something needs to be done about the objectification of women in the media. At the moment, all I see anyone doing is pointing fingers. I want to change the conversation from a lot of mud-slinging to some productive forward movement. Let’s start asking how do we do this right? How do we present female beauty without objectifying the woman?

This project is an experiment looking for that answer. Click through to my Kickstarter page for more info and to donate. Help me change the conversation and start building a media atmosphere that empowers women.

Women are being objectified by the media. No one is disputing this. However, at present, the conversation is about only that; the bad, bad things the media is doing to women. One is not empowered by being shown as a victim. Focusing on the victimization of women only reinforces the assumptions that underly the media’s portrayal.

If we’re going to empower women in their appearance and sexuality, we need to stop talking about what the media is doing wrong and ask how we can do this right. How can we portray female beauty in an honoring, celebrating, empowering way? Donate to my Kickstarter project and let’s change the conversation.
