Needless to say, I can’t breathe nor see through the endless river of tears.
…I hate everything /sob/
I know! I was shipping James Stirling and Barbara so hard!

No poster before the episode. I finished up the design and hated it. Will try again, but not tonight.
A really big “I’m sorry” to all my awesome followers for being behind on the posters. I just got back from Japan. See?

Japan.
It was a last minute work thing because going to Japan for last minute work things is part of my life, now. Anyway, I’m back and will try to get back on schedule with posters. I have some sweet ideas for ‘A Town Called Mercy’ that’ll be along later. Anyway, Happy Whoving and I’ll see you soon.
Okay, so we were promised the spunky, tiny-nosed, well-bosomed new companion at Christmas, then what-do-you-know, she’s in the premiere. Then she’s a dalek and then she asplodes. God bless your sadistic sense of humor, Mr. Moffat.
I never worry about Moffat’s women. This is the man who gave us Sally Sparrow, River Song and, my personal all-time favorite, Madame de Pompadour. And that to say nothing of Irene Adler or Susan, Sally and Jane. So, my biggest concern in losing Amy was not that we’d end up with some lame new girl but that we’re losing, aside from the brogue, the skirts. I like the skirts. Apparently, there are people who don’t like the skirts. I don’t understand those people. I was sad that they were going away. But then, I saw Jenna-Louise Coleman in a sweater and all was well in the universe.
Until she asploded. Like, big time went BOOM! Also, she was a dalek. I’d say that was an even bigger problem, but she got plenty of air time before anyone figured that out. Still, though… dalek. A dalek that got blown up. That’s a lot of hurdles to get over by Christmas.
Naturally, there’s speculation galore and here’s mine: the last words she said, “Remember me.” Moffat covered this in Series 5, when Amy remembered the Doctor back into existence. It’s a bit sappy, but Oswin is coming back in the Christmas special and if there’s one thing a Steven Moffat Doctor Who Christmas special promises, it’s tears. Last year’s special was just one extended tribute to C.S. Lewis and being a mom. Come on, who wasn’t inspired to phone their mothers after that?
So, I predict that the Doctor will be faced with some peril that requires him to remember up some assistance and, just like in Let’s Kill Hitler, he’ll reject the stock photos of his past companions until he gets to Oswin and then she’ll be real again and brilliant and off they go.

Yeah, it turns out that putting the titles on the posters makes them copyright violations. Who knew? However, the designs sans titles are fair use. So, since there is demand, I’ll make the [untitled] images available on DeviantArt. It’s only the first seven for now, but I’ll get the others up soon. (Sorry, The Doctor’s Wife quotes poster is totally no-go.)

So, at the big WhoCon in Cardiff, Moffat fielded a question about the possibility of a female Doctor. He asked for a show of hands: who would like to see a female Doctor? About 50% raised their hands. When asked if they’d stop watching a female Doctor, about 25% raised their hands and much of the crowd was scandalized.
We’re all bronies, here, right?
Thank you very much! No one is more surprised than I am that these things look good. I have tried to make the posters available in the past, but all the websites I’ve tried get touchy out the copyright grey area that these inhabit. A lot of other artists walking that line just have them printed and distribute them themselves, which is sadly impractical for me (unless folks feel like paying $20 in shipping and handling).
If anyone has any suggestions, I’ll run down the leads.

This is my new project, an experiment in photography. The objectification of women is a real problem that needs a real answer. I am going in search of that answer. Check out the Kickstarter project for more info.
